This bed comes in three boxes which led to some shipping problems (though the problems were quickly fixed by Amazon). Assembly was fairly simple, though flipping the bed alone was a tad difficult. The packaging for this item was simply atrocious, however. It came in a box within a box, and while the outer box seemed like it was designed to protect everything inside, it was pretty low quality cardboard that pretty much disintegrated at the touch.
